The Great Toddler Adventures Episode 13 and counting

I have it I have the solution I believe that I have been plagued early with the terrible two's. So now I assume that when it gets closer he will be absolutely good a perfect child right well i will not hold my breath but on the bright side working is getting easier he is getting better about that and he is starting to to put two words together at a time he woke up the other morning looked at his dad and said wheres mom. i wish i would have seen it.... well that is all for now short and sweet

Episode 12 The New Year brings New Things the great toddler adventures!

As we have crossed over to 2009 new experiences and difficulty's too. We have learned new things and done them too the great toddler as you all no does not like change and his mom started a new job and has not been around like she was he does not like this at all... But as we look to the bright side he he has learned the words bubble, apple, cold, bath, good and says phrases like veggie tales and Elmo kiss kiss it is so cute and he has started a new thing when he thinks something is good he raises his arms in the air like someone made a touchdown and says its good he started this from seeing it on TV as he was passing bye and liked it can i say it again yes i can too cute but the difficulty's still exist he will not sleep like he should and he won't in the crib hardly at all he fights like crazy and it is driving me bonkers but i keep saying all in good time, all in good time....

Episode 11 The Great Toddler Adventures

Well it is official Christmas is over that's right OVER and I for one am one happy mom. Christmas is well lets just say extremely busy and it gets harder and harder every year. Benjamin enjoyed it for the most part but eventually became the cranky butt he is and started screaming like a banshee. maybe when he is older it will go well but for now it is just not in the cards for him or us. While we patiently wait for the new year and ponder what resolutions we shall have I believe I have one for the Great Toddler and it shall be to be less cranky all those in favor say it you know it..... I, I, I, I, I , I well majority wins woo who!... okay till next time then.

The Great Toddler Adventures Episode 10 The man in Red has come early this year!

Well for most of us The Man in Red comes a certain time of year but for us he has come early so that we can fit all of it in all the family visits that we have to attend with no thought to The Great Toddler which by the way I shall add i will be late to most of them to make sure that he is satisfied. Because lets face it he needs his routines without them we all suffer. Anyway back to the story at hand The man in red has made his stop and it was a blast Benjamin discovered that he is about the coolest thing ever and he even opened his gifts by himself mostly with very minimal help yeah Ben.... The Man in Red AKA Santa Clause brought him a story time chair, refrigerator magnets ABC's and 123's of course a dog named digger that pulls along behind you and the phone that when you pull it his eyes move you know the one it is a toy that has been around for ages, decades I had one so yeah its kinda old at least that is what the older boys say. and of course the main gift from Santa was the coolest thing it was Elmo Live he does everything he sits stands, dances, tells jokes, stories, says please, thank you, I love you and so much more he even has a few surprises he is down right cool and what does Ben do when he sees him he immediately kisses him it was so cute now all we have to do is get these darn molars that are coming in if only they were not so bad but never less they are until next time.... The Great Toddler Adventures Episode 9 The Man in Red approaches!

December the month of shopping, joy, fun, love, family and friends the month we celebrate the day that Jesus was born. Unfortunately it is also the month that everyone becomes greedy, selfish and stupid. Sometimes people are just plain mean not a good month for Lil ones in stores I will tell you that and this year if you have watched the news is just horrible for all things gone wrong..... However you could mope about what goes on outside or you can create joy and mischief and that my friends is what he does when he is not busy crying over spilled milk he is discovering ways to get to things he should not to young to really care if Santa sees him or not he does it anyway. We all just got over the most horrible stomach flu ever i did not know that much stuff could come out of someone so small but hey there is a first for everything. As we recover and get better we get sneakier so it seems bound and determined to get to the remote or what ever has struck his fancy as of late he has develop new super skills he did not have anymore the great toddler can climb faster than a cat he is sneaky like a lion stalking his pray he is talking like he has discovered a foreign language the newest words of the month are Larry, JR, Bob or as he prefers bobby, kitty cat, meow and many more and then there is the classic that every child learns the ever so favorite of mine, mine, mine ha I just want to say no mine i bought it not that he will understand... But being his only second Christmas I am still getting excited cause opening presents this year is going to be so much fun he is not gonna no what to do and once he gets started well he will not want to stop however the trip to Santa was a not so good experience we will try again later until next time....... WE SIGN OFF FOR NOW!!!!

The Great Toddler Adventures Episode 8

Have you ever just been having a good day and a bad day at the same time one minute your talking on the phone the next udder silence.. yep you guessed it he can unplug the phone he will literally move boxes and things blocking the path just to unplug the phone makes you think he is trying to tell me something doesn't it. Yet i wonder what cause he has me 24/7 right all the attention he could want what else can i do well unfortunately he thinks it is funny i have so got to figure him out....

The Great Toddler Adventures.... What happened to happy

Okay honestly what happened to happy how can a child as carefree and Innocent as this be unhappy all the time not some times all of the time he cries when he eats when he needs to sleep the basic stuff but when you are supposed to play why or how can you cry during that.... one minute he wants to be held the other he wants to be down there is no making him happy you can only try so much then your not happy i mean sheash!!!!! I think I am in need of a magic wand or something here because in all honestly I am wearing my happy out love him again i love him so much but something has got to give.

The Great Toddler Advetures what to do with tantrums

Okay A Lil over the age of one and going through the normal faze of tantrums it gets taken away it is the end of the world. It gets told no it is the end of the world he is mean and demanding and well not all that great to live with at the moment i love him I do but sometimes you just want to scream come on this has got to stop!!!! When will it end there is no way a child can push your buttons this much yeah right well i hate to say it but i got a doosey of one and he pushes and pushes love him to the end of the earth just will be bald later.

The Great Toddler Adventures Episode 5

Some time has elapsed since i last wrote not much but some. The great toddler has been sick as some of you know but here we are on Thursday and although he is not trowing up he is still got diarrhea and it is like water still even pedialyte makes it happen and that is supposed to constipate you. He is feeling better today but that is subject to change cause as some of you know he goes from being full of vinegar to being sleepy and calm wow it goes so fast unable to eat without pooping he is not eating much and starving too there seems to be no happy medium. There is one constant i can count on and that my friends is Elmo or veggie tales when they are on he is glued to the television and I mean glued he won't watch it unless they are on and sometimes when i need the break which by way of saying is around 10: 40 every morning cause that is when Elmo is on ha ha.....about the only other thing he likes that much is music the boy will dance dance dance it is pretty funny will work on a video of that for you all until next time...... I leave you with this one thought although unusual it is i feel like being silly today if you shoot a mime do you need a silencer?

The Great Toddler adventures

It has been a few days since we decided to adventure again for the great toddler has been sick poor baby. It started as sour burps I should have known that we were on our way to cootie ville. He awoke at around 1 AM and started crying unaware of the fact that he was sick i tried to just let him go back to sleep cause we have been having trouble with the all through the night thing so we set back at listened well he quit crying and fell back asleep only we found out when we went to bed that oh my the room smells horrible and sure enough in the corner of the crib our great toddler had deposited his early dinner and lunch and was covered in it passed out and diarrhea to boot. Again I say poor baby i woke him gently and we changed him from top to bottom the bed to but he was a sick Lil guy was already passed back out on me. He awoke as sick as he was the night long and was lovey dovey all day not that I mind that I just wish he would do it when he is feeling good. But a good night sleep and he is full of vinegar again today hooray!!! I say that lightly.

The Great Toddler Adventures!!!! If wonders never cease.

Today was Thanksgiving the day we should all be thankful for the day when family is supposed to mean something to you and we are all supposed to get along. I am totally blind to this apparently. But who cares cause we have news big news the great toddler slept somewhere besides his bed who can be mad at anything now I mean this is like wow! He for the longest time has protested sleeping anywhere and I mean anywhere besides his bed so I am completely one hundred percent happy he had a blast and I am so grateful no I am Thankful it is Thanksgiving you know because I have waited eagerly for the day when we could go somewhere and it not become a nightmare oh my... At this point all I can say is Thank God Thank God Thank God as for the rest of the day to be worried about another time because this mom is floating on cloud nine......

Episode 2 The Great Toddler Adventures!

It awoke late this morning which would have been great except today was Thanksgiving. We have to be at the family's house which is one of the best parts of Thanksgiving getting to be with them but the great toddler does not sleep unless he has his and I mean his crib can you see the delima. I am praying and hoping all will go well. Last night he was a blast if only it could be like that all the time cause let me tell you if ever there was a grumpy boy this is him cause he just likes to complain a lot. He played a lot his new favorite game his nanny came to see him which he thought was just the best thing ever he really likes her. he ran around like he was destin to show off trying to stand on his head and saying the word of his day which by the way was Thank you at least he has manners. Time awaits things to be done stay tuned to how Thanksgiving went in

The Great Toddler Adventures!!!

The Day began as normal as the next He awoke around the same time, he hollered to get out of the defying crib that held him captive. Mom, Mom, Mom that is what I heard still in my room for lack of no space for his own room. He grabs his blankie and is ready to go there is no way he is leaving without it. I still groggy for Little sleep awaken from my slumber get him tell him "good morning bright eyes are you ready to get up." HE gets excited as we exit the room and I of course have to stop by the Bathroom. Still groggy as he sets in the hall with the door open so I can see him and no that he is not getting in to trouble he comes in the bathroom and grabs for the brush to make him pretty. What I don't know and have not yet realize is that sitting there on the sink someone in my loving household has left a glass, glass on the counter next to the sink empty of course but this does not stop him from pulling it down and busting it all over the floor I say in a loud voice" Stop get back" I am more afraid of him getting hurt. He does not know this thinks he is in trouble and I am mad starts to cry I assure him it is alright accidents happen mommy just does not want you to get hurt so stay there. He is still scared and lays down in the hall and holds on to his blankie so tight thumb in his mouth worried ever so worried. I pick him up and love him tell him lets go get some milk and put him in his high chair with milk choc milk the only way he will drink his new milk lactaid. He is allergic to the real stuff poor guy has had problems with it since birth special formula the kind that cost 35 dollars a can thank God for WIC. I get this all set and get ready to clean up broken glass everywhere when i think wow and this is just the start of the day. I get the room all cleaned up vacuum the hall and get him his breakfast. we eat till he wants no more and we get ready for sesame street.... As every morning this is a tradition a normal part of the day and it stays that way as long as it is gonna have Elmo on it... because we have to listen to Na Na nah Na Na nah Na Elmo's world Elmo loves his gold fish and his crayon too that's Elmo's world. He almost expects it sometimes he is not on but we deal with it every couple of weeks as long as he sees him at least once that day. Elmo is done and the letter and number are recapped for the day we repeat them together. Next Barney and yes it is annoying as ever but he likes the intro he dances to it everyday and then we play today it was hide the shoes and peek a boo on our head that has been the game of choice for the last three days or so. and then we get dressed after we change our pants dirty today makes you wander what he had that ate to make it that bad. Today we are going outside for the great kitty adventure lets find those Kitty's. This mind you is hard now cause the city has been trapping them and finding them homes so they say now they are gone and he has none to look at. But we do find the miserable dog of the neighbors and he plays with her even though she smells and has not been bathed in a year easy and gets in trash and road kill we will just wash are hands really good mind you. Some days it is not this good and mind you he has went down for his nap and he was ready it could get interesting I guess we will see in the next installment of the great toddler adventures tune in tomorrow to find out how the rest of the day went we can only hope it stays good but don't hold the breath cause i know how this works.
